Presidents IN OUT 2016 2 comp

At a ceremony held at The Rotary Club of Camberley recently Alan Costello, the outgoing President,
handed over the leadership to John Wenger as President of the club for the forthcoming 12 months.

John has lived, with his wife Judith, in Camberley for the last 40 years and prior to retirement spent most of his career in the pharmaceutical industry holding prominent financial positions at home and overseas.

He has been involved in charity work for nearly thirty years having held posts as Chair of the Royal Association for Deaf People, Vice Chair of Tree Aid and Treasurer of a number of charities including The Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice and the Refugee Council.

He now enjoys leading walks for The Ramblers Association and is a Trustee of two local charities – Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice and Children of the Dump (ASCT), a Camberley based charity working with desperately poor children in Manila.

With his wealth of experience in charity work John is well equipped to lead Camberley Rotary and hopes that in his year he can promote the work of the club and growth of its membership.
